WEP: Wireless Electric Projectile

The “WEP” is a 40mm “Wireless Electric Projectile”. This industry-leading ammunition round was developed to answer the growing need for an effective, wireless, extended range conducted energy device (CED). Incorporating SDI’s patented technologies into operations allows this ammunition round to deliver operational success at distances of up to 50 meters (165 feet). The WEP delivers two forms of energy to the target: kinetic and electric.

  • When the WEP engages a target, the projectile’s multiple mini-harpoon mechanism is released, affixing itself to the target’s clothing or body. Simultaneously, the built-in incapacitation system releases a high voltage, low energy pulse that imitates the body’s own electro-neural impulses.
  • Whatever the target’s pain tolerance or state of mind, the electrical pulse safely manipulates the target’s nervous system to induce an immediate harmless muscle spasm that incapacitates the target, encouraging compliance with authorities.

The WEP Advantage over Competitors

This less-lethal weapon is an alternative CED (conducted energy device) product to other non-lethal ammunition on the market today. There is currently no competition to this product available to either military or law enforcement, on the market today.
